Alaska Aces draws first blood in the semifinals series against Rain or Shine,Aces is now leading 1-0. They barely beaten Rain or Shine Elasto Painters,80-87. Thanks to their tremendous run in the 2nd half and suffocating defense. Rain or Shine was leading as much as 17 points in the 1st half.

Alaska Aces shutdown Meralco Bolts(87-69) in the 2nd round of Quarterfinals. Alaska advanced to the semis against Rain or Shine in a best-of-7 series! How can we forget when ROS eliminated us in the semis last conference? That mop boy thing. lol. It's payback time!

Since they squandered their last 2 games that took them out in the top 2. That could have given them automatic semis. But anyway that was a thing of the past already...

• Hole in the Paint -Alaska was beaten badly at the paint, 26-54 disparity. Greg(12pts 14rebs), Japeth(20pts 8rebs), and even Mamaril(8pts 10 rebs) were having a party down there. On the contrary Manuel(4pts 1/8FG), Sonny(4pts 1/5FG). Considering that Sonny is the main center of Alaska... *smh* Okay so Sonny might still not be fully recovered from his recent injury but WHEN will he be a factor again? Playoffs is coming. Whenever Alaska is set to battle Barangay Ginebra the fans are ecstatic about it. You'll know that it will be a hell of a game. Alaska seems to have Ginebra's number especially last year when Alaska swept them in the finals in an import laden conference. For sure Ginebra is very eager to win against Alaska, add the fact that they were on a losing skid and battling for a better positioning in the playoffs. It's a must win also for Alaska to stay on top and secure the automatic semis.
